Our Process

We developed our integrated financial planning process to cover all aspects of your financial life. With our deep retirement, tax, and investment planning expertise, we provide an encompassing suite of services for individuals and businesses. We offer three levels of service to provide you with the level of service and expertise that best meets your needs. For select clients, our family office approach allows us to provide integrated services to meet more complex financial needs. To get an idea of the price for our services, please review Our Fees.

Our process begins with a Discovery Meeting. To make the most of our time together, we ask that you please complete this questionnaire. This will help you organize the information we will need to begin to evaluate your situation. If, however, you keep your financial information in a spreadsheet or similar organized form, you do not have to reinvent the wheel. Just complete the first two pages of the questionnaire. Contact us for information about submitting your completed form and scheduling a Discovery Meeting.

Discovery Meeting

If you are interested in exploring a relationship, we offer a complimentary Discovery Meeting with one of our highly experienced and credentialed professionals. We will review the Lifestyle Plan Questionnaire you filled out. Through conversation, we will begin to get to know one another and gain an understanding of your current financial life, vision for your future, and whether we can help. Please note that for married couples, we require that both spouses attend the Discovery Meeting. As your advisor, we need to get to know and understand both spouses to do a great job of financial life planning for your family.

Review Meetings

As we work on your planning, we will consider the dangers, opportunities, and strengths present in your situation and strategize to find the best ways to align and optimize your resources to support your goals. While some of this work may be quite technical, we will communicate recommendations to you in simple language to allow you to make clear and informed decisions. We typically meet with clients through a series of 3 meetings. We have a Plan Review meeting with you approximately 2-4 weeks after our Discovery Meeting. Once your financial plan is established, we will schedule an Investment Review Meeting (typically in 1-2 weeks) to review investment strategy options. After about 2-3 months we will meet with you to review the performance and status of your financial plan.

Progress Meetings

Our clients generally meet with us one to three times yearly although we are available as questions or issues arise. We will proactively reach out to you for Regular Progress Meetings, which are essential to ensure that your financial strategy stays aligned with your evolving goals and life circumstances. Changes in income, market conditions, tax laws, or personal milestones can all impact your financial outlook. We help you adjust your investments, savings strategies, and risk management to keep you on track. Our progress meetings also provide an opportunity to address any concerns and ensure you’re taking advantage of new opportunities to grow and protect your wealth.
