Bruce has worked in public accounting since 1987 and enjoys working with clients to plan and understand both their financial statements and tax returns. He founded his firm, McDonnell & Associates in 1995 and merged with Reinhard, Kopko, Keller & Company to form Reinhard, Kopko, Keller & McDonnell (RKKM) in 1998. On January 1, 2025, RKKM has merged with True Wealth Accounting & Tax. Bruce is frequently consulted on business planning issues and tax issues and has served as the treasurer of the Jackson/Belden Chamber of Commerce, the Jackson Rotary Club and the Massillon Chamber of Commerce. He is also the chair of the Zoar Road Gun Club Scholarship committee and a past president and current board member of the Zoar Road Gun Club.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I don’t know if I can. I am kind of complex. But I could say that I am thoughtful and enjoy talking with people.
What is something most don’t know about you?
I cure and smoke bacon every year.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy traveling the world with my wife, Laurie, reading, trap shooting, and boating on Atwood Lake in my free time.
What are your wardrobe constants?
Blue shirt, grey pants, black shoes. I don’t wear this every day, only four out of five workdays.
What is something interesting someone has said about you?
I like talking with you because you don’t talk like an accountant. I think this was a compliment.
What are you proud of?
My children and grandchildren. Also, the people that I work with, both clients and colleagues.
